ZincMet Consulting was established in 2021 to offer extractive metallurgical consulting services for industry and academia.
Its owner and sole employee is Stephen E James. Steve worked for 43 years in extractive and process metallurgy. Steve's experience focused 'mostly on zinc and lead processing but also on copper, gold, and cobalt recovery.
A Colorado School of Mines graduate with BSc and MSc degrees in Metallurgical Engineering, Steve brings his proven experience with facilities operation, process improvement, flowsheet design, process risk, and safety management.
Steve was and continues to be an active member of professional societies, including The Society of Mining Engineers, The Canadian Institute for Mining and Metallurgy, the Association for Iron and Steel Technology, and The Minerals, Metals, and Materials Society.
