Stephen (Steve) James began ZincMet Consulting in 2021 to provide professional consulting for the extractive and process metallurgy industry.

Steve worked for 43 years in nonferrous extractive metallurgy and minerals processing. He held various roles, ranging from a research engineer to manager of a primary zinc smelter. Steve had the opportunity to work in a variety of countries. He has direct experience with process operation, project engineering, process improvement, process maintenance, and environmental compliance.

Safe operations have always been a key to successful metallurgical businesses. Steve can share his extensive risk assessment and analysis experience for existing and new operations.
